Some Funnies for your Wednesday!

I recorded Jay Leno the other night b/c Lady Gaga was on and was pleasantly surprised at another segment on the show where Jay had The Situation interviewing people on the red carpet of the Grammys/Grammies ? which is it? who cares.

This was actually really funny! He might have a career after Jersey Shore after all...

Were you pleasantly surprised also?

Also, if you're not reading I'mBringingBloggingBack and you watch Jersey Shore, Any of the Real Housewives or Teen Mom 2 then you MUST start! This guy is hilarious!

Hubbs and I are going to dust off the tennis racquet's tonight and then enjoy some Big Truck Tacos and cervezas! Loving this weather!

Daydreaming of Springtime

The snow is finally melting and the sun is shining bright! I hope I can officially retire my heavy coat...(prob not quite yet) but I'm still daydreaming.

Here are a few things I'm lusting over in this gorgeous weather:

I'm thinking both of these would be perfect for Spring Break in Barcelona.

Have any of you ever ordered clothes from VS? I've only ever ordered their swimsuits. How is the sizing if you have, I don't want to order these and they end up being tight instead of loose like the pics.

Also loving this Free People dress, looks super short though.. I dunno?

How freaking cute is this print?! Thanks SO much to Toni for sending it to me!
I musssst have this!

I saw these on my latest trip to Target and fell in love.

Purchased the swimsuit! (PS - why do their bottoms run SO small? Good thing I tried these on b/c I was WAY off on the size I needed)

Still eyeing the shoes... I can't find an occasion I would wear them? I'm very much a flat sandal or wedge girl... So, here's where you all come in, please help me justify these beauties. What's the perfect occasion for these?

I'm back from the dead (or the flu) it felt like death for a few days though. Man I'm glad that's over! Phew!
Thanks for all the get well wishes! You guys are the best!!
Since you were so nice I will give you my one post for the week that I know you all appreciate most: Friday Faves!!!

The best way to transition to Spring in my opinion, is to mix in some short sleeved tops with jeans and sandals.
Madewell Frozen Sparkles Tee - on Sale for $39.99

Madewell - Linden Lace Tee - $39.50

I love a breezy summer dress and this one looks perfect in every way!
Check out this cute purse that can be worn as a backpack too! Maybe for Barcelona?? Think my new camera would fit in there?

Forever21 - Leatherette Tassel Handbag - $32.80

How fun are these sandals? They're the definition of casual summer to me. I see myself sporting these with the white dress and brown backpack to the Art District's 1st Friday, drinking a Stella and listening to street music. Ahhh Summer's near...
PiperLime - DV Nyle Sandal - $59

And of course I'm SO excited for Lady GaGa's New Cd! You can listen to her first single off of it here.

Happy Weekend friends! We're off to a "RockStar" Party tonight... wish me luck on the last minute costume I've yet to come up with... :)

Snippets from our Super Bowl

This weather made Dave sick and then he passed it along to me. He was lucky enough to get over his in a couple days, while mine is still lingering... I'm headed to the doctor in a minute to hopefully get rid of this thing!

We had plans to go watch the Superbowl at one of Dave's dental school friends house but seeing how I couldn't stand up long enough to make a bath for myself we ended up staying home.

Luckily, I was feeling better on Saturday for a bit and was able to make Pioneer Woman's Restaurant Style Salsa! OMG you guys, this is to. die. for. I will never buy grocery store salsa again!

I'm insanely jealous of everyone who got to pig out on superbowl food! All I managed to have was a few bites of salsa... it was good but it was not wings and queso and sausage balls and cookies... ahhh I might have to have a little superbowl party for myself when I get over this sinus infection!

This was by far my favorite commercial, we've all had that minor panic attack when we thought we may have accidentally hit "Reply All". Now we know what to do if so!

And the dogs enjoyed the Puppy Bowl this year!

What was your favorite commercial?

Snow Day!

What do you do when your weather looks like this?

Lay on the couch and watch movies

surf the web and come across a few gems...

Katie Couric wondering what is the internet in 1994?

{found via Dlisted}

I also found T-Pain's new tattoo, I like it.
{via}
there's also a pretty entertaining video on tmz of Kim Richards drunk at an airport, part 2 of the reunion is tonight! I can't wait for it!

and most importantly, make snow ice cream!!!

Here's the recipe we used:

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • CLEAN Snow
Preparation:
Go outside and get 4 - 5 cups of fresh, clean snow. Don't pack the snow! Bring it in the house and set it in the freezer until you need it. Mix together the milk, vanilla, and the sugar. Stir this mixture until the sugar is dissolved. Slowly add the snow to your mixture, stirring constantly, until it is as thick as ice cream! Eat up!

Dave somehow got through all his snowdays as a child without ever having snow ice cream! He was so happy, this guy has a real sweet tooth. His exact words were, "Oh my god this is so good! And we can make so much more! We have a whole yard full of snow!" Haha!

I hope you're all staying safe and warm. I heard the roof on the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa collapsed from the snow?! This is definitely a crazy snowpocalypse!
