Fun Fun Fuuuuun!

This song popped up on my Pandora today and I can't get enough of it! It puts me in such a good mood!
I had to share:

(I couldn't embed the official video, but it's good so check it out here)

I showed Dave and he enjoyed the song too. Then he had to show me something he found on the internets today. I guess when you're in school and your morning classes are cancelled you have time to surf the web... And boy am I glad he did!

--Skip to the 1:00 mark and enjoy the awesome drummer! What if this band was at your wedding!?

Have you seen any good videos lately?

All I Want For Christmas!!!

I've started a small Christmas List that I'm sure will grow exponentially throughout December... But for now, here are the top items on my list!

Not sure how I made it through all of our showers and wedding without one of these... and this one is SO gorgeous I cannot stop thinking about it! How gorgeous would this be in the middle of the table full of Christmas Ornaments?! or little pumpkins? or seashells? I'd totally use it as decor until I needed it for a party!

My fave show on DVD, so that whenever I need a dose of Luke's awesomeness I can get it.

We decided we're going to pull the trigger on purchasing a new King Sized Bed. (After years of sharing a full-sized bed with 2 dogs and each other we're ready!)
So we'll need new bedding!
After much consideration, we've also decided that the all white bed is not for us. :(
Too many dirty paws to clean up after. This one should hide some of their mess..

I really need a little tripod for my camera so we don't always have to ask strangers to take our picture. Which inevitably ends up in a blurry or crooked photo.

Love this shirt! It could really come in handy for gameday's next year!
(Sorry for the blurry pic... Urban is hard to save pics off of.)

I also LOVE this striped shirt!

I've heard SO many good things about this cookbook I just have to have it!

That's all for now... I'm sure by the time this shows up in your reader I'll have thought of 20 more things I want. Don't worry, I'll keep you updated!

Things I'm Thankful For:
  • My wonderful husband, Dave for being so dedicated to school and yet still able to be the funniest person I know!
  • My family for always being there when I need someone to talk to on my drive home and for being just as excited to see us as we are to spend Thanksgiving with them!
  • My in-laws for loving me as I'm their own daughter and always being there to help us out with anything from strep throat to car trouble. We can't thank you all enough for being so awesome!
  • Cooper and Nigel, the most adorable dogs you'll ever meet, for being cuddly when I want to cuddle and funny when I need to be entertained!
  • My awesome friends because they're always ready to have a good time, no matter if it's raining on the 4th of July we always find a way to have a blast!
  • Our cute house, I'm so excited to decorate our first house for Christmas and make our first Holiday memories in it!
  • My blog readers (especially those who comment!) and for fun blog posts from other awesome bloggers!
I hope you all are making wonderful Thanksgiving memories!
Lots of love!

Party Pics!

As promised, here are some photos from the wedding Dave and I were lucky enough to both be a part of this weekend!

 boys will be boys...
 My parents were there too!
So was Dave's sister and her husband!
How fun are the sunglasses?! It really made people want to party!
The bride switched into a traditional Vietnamese outfit and they went around and greeted all the tables while the wedding party followed behind cheering. It was really cool!
Bestie Lin and Ryan were there too!
We ate, we drank (maybe too much) and then we danced the night away!
I have the bruises and sore feet to prove it was a lot of fun!

We had to take a Chi-O pic! (I was the owl duh!)
We had a blast and couldn't be happier for you too!

Now I'm taking a break from blogging and finishing my cake balls!
Happy Holiday week!

Epic Online Shopping Fail!

This weekend was crazy! Some of our best friends got married in Tulsa and it was an absolute blast! (post to come)

I had THE hardest time finding something to wear... I ordered 4 dresses online, that's right 4! And 3 of them went back and as it turns out one was back-ordered for 23 days when I ordered it... way to read the fine print Christine!

Here's the breakdown b/c I know you all care SO much.
I ordered this one first b/c it looked so cute online and the price wasn't bad.
It got here and I knew before I even tried it on that it wasn't going to work... The fit was all sorts of crazy. :(
Then I found the dress I loved and ordered right away, thanks to the Bloomingdales F&F discount it was too cheap to say no.
Be sure and read the fine print if you need this dress by a certain time. ;)
So, back to the drawing board I went... I found this dress at Free People and ordered... it showed up and was so unflattering I couldn't believe it.
And my last hope was this black ditty that I had seen in Norman and when I went back it was gone :(
Thanks to my terrible memory I ordered the wrong size and it showed up way too big. :(
Oh and it was my last hope because it arrived 2 days before I needed to wear it.
Epic Online Shopping Fail.

Luckily I had a couple hours on Friday before we had to leave to find something...
Bcbg at Dillards to the rescue!
I tried on this one first and LOVED it! I felt very Blair Waldorf-esque wearing it, which is always a good feeling!

Too bad I forgot to look at the price before I tried it on... $398 is a little steep.

Then I tried on a couple other duds before I found THE one! (Why am I acting like this is my wedding? I'm just in the house party?? B/c I am insane people, you should know that by now!)
Finally, after months of searching, I got the cutest dress for our bff's wedding!

I always take dressing room pics...must be from seeing Clueless one too many times. They come in handy when I need a second opinion and I'm shopping alone.

btw - all the dresses I ordered were free shipping and free returns so don't worry I didn't waste $$$ just lots of my time and effort!

I know I'm insane... please feel free to make fun of me in the comments.

C'mon Luke!

Last week there wasn't a new Modern Family but somehow I powered through, it was hard. Waiting 2 weeks for the adorable Luke to provide me with such harmless entertainment was rough...
Luckily he came through with a couple solid "Luke moments" I share them with you here:

Manny also had a couple of shining moments last night, here's my favorite:

Can't Wait for Thanksgiving!

I'm getting so jazzed about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday!!! I can't wait to hang out with my family over delicious food, prepared by Nana of course, followed by being silly with my sister b/c we've had too much Turkey. Which will inevitably lead to a nap... then we'll wake up, have a leftover turkey sandwich and some wine before we head over to Utica Square for Lights On! It's a Thanksgiving tradition that I absolutely love!

Santa comes to countdown...

The shops open for Thanksgiving evening and there's always a good deal!
And finally... they turn on all the beautiful Christmas lights!
{all images via}
It is most fun when you're enjoying a glass of wine out of a coffee travel mug. And always ends with a few pictures with the nutcrackers!

The fam has already requested spinach artichoke dip from last year, along with crostini's.

But I'm thinking about bringing some cake balls also! I've only made the red velvet cake with cream cheese icing and vanilla candy coating.
(yeah they're not the prettiest... but they were damn good!)

Does anyone have another good combination of cake balls they'd like to share? I'd love to try a pumpkin one!

Did I tell you?

Did I tell you guys that I high-fived Dane Cook at the show on Monday? Remember how excited I was?
Well, imagine my excitement when we walked down the aisle to our seats and were stopped by an usher telling us that our section has been picked to get upgraded! We headed to guest services to get our new tickets totally psyched!

Then we were informed they had run out of seats together so we had to wait for them to print more tickets (for like 15 minutes!) When the little guy finally showed up with our tickets we headed to find out new seats... oh section 7 is on the floor? Hell yeah! What's that? We're going to keep going closer and closer to the stage? Say what? We're sitting 7 rows away and on the aisle! No way - this is the aisle he's going to run down to get to the stage?! Hell to the Yeah!!!

Oh and for all you sceptics who need proof - That's my hair and my hand giving Dane Cook a high five after his awesome set!

If he comes near you all you should definitely go! We laughed the whole time! His openers were really funny too! The guy in the last picture was one of his openers that came back out at the end and they sang "The Humpty Dance" together! It was awesome!
We had a blasty-blast (as Dane would say)!
