Sooner Wed!!!

Last weekend my bff Patti got engaged in the cutest way! While they were posing for their "Christmas card picture" Nick had 2 friends hold up a banner he had made and proposed in front of the stadium! SO cute! She was shocked as you can tell!

She said yes! Obviously...

So funny b/c we were just giving Nick a hard time 2 nights before about them not being engaged, and so I guess he told Dave when I wasn't around that he was planning on proposing on Saturday at the tailgate. Dave didn't tell me until we got home and I was SO excited!

Patrick was so happy he cried a holyshit it's windy and cold happy tear!
The whole gang ready to celebrate!

If it weren't for the nasty weather we would have partied/tailgated/celebrated at the game however it was nasty so we celebrated at Campus Corner.

So the day before I went to get her some Bridal magazines b/c who doesn't want to start looking right away? Then I got bored on the drive from Tulsa to OKC, thought it'd be even more fun if I made comments in them so it would be like we were reading them together!
I think she got a kick out of some of them...

I'm so happy for my bff Patti who I've been friends with since Kindergarten! That's right folks! Kindygarden! :) I couldn't think of a more perfect person for Patti to be with! Nick's a lucky guy! Congrats friends!!! Can't wait for the big day!!!

Aye Aye Aye

Aye Aye Aye! I haven't blogged in a while! So you get one of my lovely photo re-cap posts! You're welcome in advance!
We went to a super fun wedding for our friends Michael and Stacy! Love those Chi-O - Beta weddings! :)

All 3 of us girls below were Chi-O's that married Beta's! All from the same pledge class! Love it!

On another weekend, we celebrated our good friend Tim's 30th Birthday!!!
It called for a trip to Ingrid's where 3 of the guys took on the boot challenge.
The challenge is - you have to drink the boot in under 5 minutes for it to be free.
After the boot challenge we went to BossaNova for some rooftop drinks and one of the guys didn't quite make it... you can see him asleep in the bottom left picture. At least he finished the boot though!
We also attended Emily's wedding in October! It was gorgeous and a total blast! I wouldn't have expected anything less!
I should also mention that I helped decorate her reception for the big day! It's a little side hobby of mine I'm trying to get going more on! She wanted more of an Anthropologie feel as opposed to floral. I think it turned out beautiful! Of course these are terrible quality pictures but you get the idea...
If you know anyone getting married who wants help decorating and coming up with ideas for their big day please tell them to contact me. I looooove it! Oh and I'm pretty shy about this part of it but hey we're all friends right? And I figure if you're still reading you actually might care - I started a little side blog about weddings and party planning. Feel free to check it out and send your engaged friends my way :) Here it is: Party Prep

Well, that's all for now, you're caught up besides the tailgates that is... I'll save those for another day.

Cinderella like Royal Wedding

I'm not sure if I let you all in on how obsessed with the Royal Wedding I was... I recorded it on 2 channels and my dvr was going pretty much all day Friday on Royal Wedding Highlights and Recaps.
My sister watched it with my Friday when we woke up after her 21st b-day, it was the perfect thing to lay on the couch and watch for 2 hours. (we fast forwarded through most of it) I couldn't help but notice the similarities between William and Kate's Royal Wedding and my childhood favorite movie Cinderella.
My mom says I would watch Cinderella everyday if I could and one day she let me watch it twice in a row! Obsessed.

So here's why I think they were so similar:
William's uniform could not have reminded me more of the Prince and Kate was wearing long sleeves as well as Cinderella!
Also, they both left in a carriage! I mean come on?
I even noticed Kate was waving her hand the same way Cinderella did!
I loved the Royal Wedding! I have now become obsessed with looking at pictures, here are my faves so far:

Did you see her dress for the Reception? I can't tell if it's a completely different dress or the same without the lace and an added belt? Either way it was Gorgeous!!!

And how perfect did she look the day after?
Check out Possessionista for the above blue dress and wedges. I SO wish we had a Zara here!

Did you all watch the Royal Wedding? What'd you think?

What a Weekend!

Friday I got Shellacked for the first time! I'm quite impressed and nobody believes they are my real nails! Hopefully they last me through this weekend too, we'll see. I'm not sure they tested the shellac on a tennis players nails...
Friday night we had so much fun at the Kings of Leon with Dave's whole family! We pre-gamed with friends and my Dad beforehand.

After the concert we ran into good friends, Patti and crew at The Max and I told Patti I was sick of slouching down in our pictures, so I picked her up! Evidence of having a great night... when you convince your bff to let her pick you up for a picture. :)
Saturday morning errr noon we met up with friends for brunch! Yummiest mimosa's and breakfast pizza ever at Leon's Brookside.
Saturday night we attended our good friends Chance and Rick's wedding and had THE best time!
The reception was held at The Cain's Ballroom, which is home to many a great concert, so when we walked in we found our table numbers by our concert tickets! Such a cute idea! (this is mainly for Katie b/c I know she loves all the details!)
I absolutely loved their table decorations, so much so that chance let me take one home! she made those wooden frames herself! Love it!
 {we had a windy walk from the car... hence the windblown look}
How awesome are the cakes? The grooms cake was an OU cooler full of beer! The ice was sugar cubes! Such a fun idea!
They served BedlamTini's in honor of their split household. Dave couldn't resist.
Taryn and I both had the same idea, Spring wedding? Pink!!!
Andrea and I discovered we could both C-walk.
Then we picked up Patti again... (or she faked it by climbing on a chair we'll never tell)
Photobooths at weddings = A guaranteed good time!

 {I left these small for obvious reasons}
With the gorgeous bride!
Nick came prepared, in case something went wrong with his groomsmen tux, he had a backup underneath!
Having a goooood time!
Dave and Taryn scored a pitcher of BedlamTini's!
We ended the night at the after party singing along to "What do tigers dream of"

Sunday, we enjoyed another delicious brunch at Leon's with my family to celebrate my birthday! It was a super fantastical weekend! I hope you all had a blast as well!
