Sooner Wed!!!

Last weekend my bff Patti got engaged in the cutest way!While they were posing for their "Christmas card picture" Nick had 2 friends hold up a banner he had made and proposed in front of the stadium! SO cute! She was shocked as you can tell!

She said yes! Obviously...

So funny b/c we were just giving Nick a hard time 2 nights before about them not being engaged, and so I guess he told Dave when I wasn't around that he was planning on proposing on Saturday at the tailgate. Dave didn't tell me until we got home and I was SO excited!

Patrick was so happy he cried a holyshit it's windy and cold happy tear!

If it weren't for the nasty weather we would have partied/tailgated/celebrated at the game however it was nasty so we celebrated at Campus Corner.

So the day before I went to get her some Bridal magazines b/c who doesn't want to start looking right away? Then I got bored on the drive from Tulsa to OKC, thought it'd be even more fun if I made comments in them so it would be like we were reading them together!
I think she got a kick out of some of them...

I'm so happy for my bff Patti who I've been friends with since Kindergarten! That's right folks! Kindygarden! :) I couldn't think of a more perfect person for Patti to be with! Nick's a lucky guy! Congrats friends!!! Can't wait for the big day!!!

It's the Little Things

With our first mortgage payment under our belt and the first set of bills including several security deposits and start up fees, we are a little strapped for cash.  We've been living very frugally lately, bringing lunch to work every day, eating at home every night, turning down requests for happy hour and avoiding the mall at all costs. In 2 weeks we'll be back on our feet again but in the meantime I've been thinking about all the little non-material things that have the ability to make me so happy and excited!

A few things that make me smile:

Cuddling with Cooper

Cooking dinner with Dave while listening to good music

A homemade margarita (mine are better than most restaurants)

Sitting in the living room with the windows open because it's so nice out

Doing laundry at our new house

This is the first picture we took in the new house, also the first thing we did, laundry!

When you go from not having a laundry machine for 2 years, to having the top of the line washer and dryer you get excited!

A phone call from my family

Receiving anything in the mail that's not a bill

Manic Monday

I can't believe it's Monday already! How does Monday ALWAYS creep up on me? We had a great weekend! Saw Ron White at Riverwind Casino on Friday night. He was absolutely hilarious! If you've got thick skin you should definitely check out some of his stuff at . I laughed until I cried a couple of times! He had this laugh out loud funny plan to buy Mexico and flip it.. well just watch it it's funny! It was such a release after the horrible week I had at work! Proxy season is fully upon us and my team is understaffed so I've been working late every night. And by late I mean I didn't leave before 8 pm all week! Talk about draining! But we ended up going to get drinks with our good friends, Lindy and Ryan after and had a good time with the $2 well drink special at Blu! We always have fun with them - but this time was especially fun since we got to sit outside on a patio with drinks! Doesn't get much better than that!

Saturday, we drove to Tulsa for our engagement pictures that were rained out 2 weeks ago. It was Super Humid and Super Windy but we think we got some good pictures in between the gusts of wind! We decided to do a dressier outfit and a casual/more bohemian outfit and they both turned out awesome! So far we've only seen 2 of the pictures so here's a preview:
