Happy Friday!!!

I just learned that Zara is going to start online shopping in the US on September 7! My sister introduced me to Zara in Barcelona and we spent a good 2 hours in there. I fell in love. I made it a point to visit the Zara in San Fran when we were there and then last weekend in Austin I dragged everyone to the shopping center so I could go get my fix! Needless to say, it's my fave.

When I read on Whitney's blog they'd be shipping in mere weeks I got school girl giddy! So excited to grab a few of these pieces for fall!
Their blouse's are the best, I had to narrow this selection down.

Love these cozy sweaters:
And I think I'll need this dress for Vegas in February:
I hope this information makes your Friday as happy as it did mine!

Epic Online Shopping Fail!

This weekend was crazy! Some of our best friends got married in Tulsa and it was an absolute blast! (post to come)

I had THE hardest time finding something to wear... I ordered 4 dresses online, that's right 4! And 3 of them went back and as it turns out one was back-ordered for 23 days when I ordered it... way to read the fine print Christine!

Here's the breakdown b/c I know you all care SO much.
I ordered this one first b/c it looked so cute online and the price wasn't bad.
It got here and I knew before I even tried it on that it wasn't going to work... The fit was all sorts of crazy. :(
Then I found the dress I loved and ordered right away, thanks to the Bloomingdales F&F discount it was too cheap to say no.
Be sure and read the fine print if you need this dress by a certain time. ;)
So, back to the drawing board I went... I found this dress at Free People and ordered... it showed up and was so unflattering I couldn't believe it.
And my last hope was this black ditty that I had seen in Norman and when I went back it was gone :(
Thanks to my terrible memory I ordered the wrong size and it showed up way too big. :(
Oh and it was my last hope because it arrived 2 days before I needed to wear it.
Epic Online Shopping Fail.

Luckily I had a couple hours on Friday before we had to leave to find something...
Bcbg at Dillards to the rescue!
I tried on this one first and LOVED it! I felt very Blair Waldorf-esque wearing it, which is always a good feeling!

Too bad I forgot to look at the price before I tried it on... $398 is a little steep.

Then I tried on a couple other duds before I found THE one! (Why am I acting like this is my wedding? I'm just in the house party?? B/c I am insane people, you should know that by now!)
Finally, after months of searching, I got the cutest dress for our bff's wedding!

I always take dressing room pics...must be from seeing Clueless one too many times. They come in handy when I need a second opinion and I'm shopping alone.

btw - all the dresses I ordered were free shipping and free returns so don't worry I didn't waste $$$ just lots of my time and effort!

I know I'm insane... please feel free to make fun of me in the comments.

Fell for Fall

I'd like to introduce you to my Top 2 Faves for Fall!
(Just me and some pals taking a leisurely fall walk down to the neighborhood liquor store for some Champy!)

#1: Soup! (the easiest commuters lunch)
I just inhaled a bowl of Charleston's Baked Potato Soup! OMG it's so good I might have a problem - I've ordered it to-go at least 3 times in the past 2 weeks... What? It's $5 a bowl and they bring it to your car!
(Of course I HAD to get a croissant too! I think they're made with crack!)

#2 Boots!! (sometimes with the fur!)
I know some of you might think outfit pictures are silly - they really are helpful when you're as indecisive as me when it comes to picking your clothes in the morning. It became Fall here pretty abruptly and we had to dress "more professionally" for work this week and I was stumped. Luckily I had taken a few outfit pictures last fall/winter and was able to get dressed super quick this morning! Yay for not having to try on 5 things, messing up the bedroom in the process!
Here's the pic I used from last year, BUT I'm wearing different boots today.
I saw these boots the other day and fell madly in love... I decided they had to be mine they're too warm and cute to pass up! Plus, they were sold out everywhere online and I didn't want to wait and not be able to get them. Sooo I went back to Dillards! Boom Sold!
Did I mention you can wear them up OR down?
I'm in love! I can't wait to sport them around Crested Butte this winter!

Fall Faves!

I don't think I've ever been this excited for fall. I don't know what it is? Maybe the extreme heat made me yearn for cooler temps. Or all the gorgeous chunky sweaters and leather boots out there this season... That's more like it.

Here are my faves for fall so far, I have a feeling this is going to be an on-going post...
Loooove these! In every color! (don't love the price...)

Gorgeous! I'm loving this smoke color in everything this season!

Forever 21 - Autumn Sweater Top

Anthropologie - Every Saturday Tee
I'd wear this everyday of the week.
Want this one baaaad!

What are you all lusting over this fall?

Tucker for Target

So after seeing Posessionistas purchases I had to check out the Tucker for Target line myself. Yay! Something to do on my lunch hour! :)

Luckily, working in Norman, Oklahoma not too many people rushed out to check out the line on the first day! I was able to find everything I liked in my size.

Onto the pictures:
Tucker for Target - Signature Blouse in Cream - Purchased!

Warning - the above top runs really big. Expect to size down one or 2 sizes.

Multi-Colored Painted Flowers Dress - Purchased! Can't decide where I'll wear it but it was too cute to leave behind!

Tucker for Target - Herringbone Trench - was super cute on but had no closure except for the tie belt. It was also pretty wrinkled. - Didn't purchase but liked!

Tucker for Target - Boucle Dress - This was cute and definitely comfortable but it just wasn't my style.

Tucker for Target - Back Ruffle Dress - Oops I guess I tried this on backwards. It was very cute, very static clingy and kinda short. Didn't purchase but like it.. Maybe I should have tried the next size up?

Tucker for Target - Black Tunic Dress - Purchased! I definitely saved the best for last here. I have a feeling I will be living in this thing in the next couple weeks. with some boots and a belt or possibly just flats. Love love love it! Go to target and check this line out - there's something for everyone at Great Prices!
SideNote - Can't wait for the GG premiere tonight!

Summer Wedding Style

Wedding Season and Summer pretty much go hand in hand. And if you're in you're mid-twenties like me, you're in the prime wedding season years. Beginning in April, our wedding season is lasting until late August with 6 weddings we'll have attended! Wowzas! I'm so glad I let myself buy a new dress for all of my own bridal showers last year. Now I have options! But a girl still wants a new dress every once in a while. I mean come on, a lot of the same guests will be at these weddings. I don't want to commit a fashion faux pas.

I've compiled some of my favorite wedding guest looks for this season and can't wait to share!

I probably should have prefaced this with "I have really girly style, not much of an edge here" but I hope you liked something!
You could totally do any of the shoes or purses with any of the dresses to save you some cash! Mix and Match my friends!
What are you all wearing to weddings this season?

Sidewalk Sale Scores!

Saturday I had to run to the mall to pick up a gift for the couples shower we were going to that night. Little did I know there was a sidewalk sale going on and I scored some great finds!

Passed through B.C. Clark and found a Match Pewter bowl 80% off! I got a $90 bowl for $13!!! It doesn't get any better than that. Score #1!
I think it might replace the bowl in our entryway where we throw our keys everyday... But I dunno if I trust it there... what do you guys think?
                             New Bowl                                                                      Old Bowl

Then I stopped in J.Crew to see what kind of goodies they had on sale. I found this adorable moto-zip sweater on sale for $49 + an additional 30% off! I couldn't find it online so check your local store, it came in the cream color (which I got) and a nice medium gray. Score #2!

Super cute right?

Then I headed to my final destination - Williams Sonoma. Picked out the gift for the shower and browsed their sale items. I came across the perfect tray to store all our bottles we're collecting in!
On sale from $58 to $14.99! Score #3!

And, in unrelated news, we got a new pillow for the loveseat from Pottery Barn last weekend and Nigel helped model how it looks now.

Also, I finally got my butt off the couch and cooked a delicious dinner Sunday night.

Crispy tilapia, angel hair pasta with herbs, summer squash and zucchini and a Rhodes roll.
I think the Hubbs was pretty pleased he didn't have to eat leftovers or PB&J again.
 Great success!
