 Junior League Event - River boat cruise with appetizers and champagne? You know I signed up for that the second I could!

I managed to drag Dave away from studying to watch the Thunder game for an hour at a bar down the street that has the most amazing "gourmet tots". (In case you're wondering, gourmet tots have cheese and ham baked into the tot!)

Mother's Day Carrot Cake - celebrated early with Dave's mom on Thursday! Talk about YUM!

While getting ready for the Blake Shelton concert, I found an insane amount of bolo ties in my dad's closet.

Dave's inner Ace Ventura came out at my parents house with their dogs and ours! 

 We left my mom a Mother's Day surprise for when she arrived home from Houston for the weekend!

Some pretty flowers, beautiful frames I scored at TJ Maxx not too long ago and a personalized card from TinyPrints! She loved it!

Celebrating my friend Ashley's birthday, she wanted everyone to "Wig Out" (I borrowed a wig from my friend, that looked like Teresa from RHONJ) 

And a little like Rambo when Dave tried it on..

Dave left to go study while we all went out to Groovy's (the local cougar bar/disco)

I ditched my wig... it was hot and I couldn't get my hair to stay up under it. But I now know that Wigs are super fun! This years Halloween costume will most likely involve a fun wig!

Sunday I laid out in the backyard a little and made a homemade pizza while Dave studied!

We went to Taco Tuesday at Iguana Grill beforehand and rode their complimentary Ragin Transit to the show! Pretty awesome deal!

So excited to have found club level seats to sneak into! The people never showed up! There were 6 empty seats in a row all for us.. Muahaha!

Such a great ending to the best concert I've ever been to! Way to go GaGa, you'll be the next Madonna for sure!

Going GaGa!!!

Tonight is THE night!
Lady GaGa is coming to OKC! In true Christine fashion, I waited until yesterday to get tickets, and now my excitement has taken over me! When I woke up this morning I was like ohhh boy! Gotta get up and get ready for Gaga! (because I have to work all day so I have to be ready to go as soon as I get off!)

Now the question is, what to wear??? Luckily I have all day to think about it.

T-24 hours until we're Wastin' Away Again in Margaritaville!!

Tomorrow morning we're headed South to Frisco TX for the Jimmy Buffett concert! for the 3rd year in a row, we'll tailgate all day, drink too many margaritas, inevitably end up with a lay wrapped around our ankles, get lost from our friends (or husbands, Lin and I have a tendancy to wander), make friends with randoms because they have a working toilet in their RV, eat way too many mini-pizzas once inside the concert, yell at Jimmy to play Cheeseburger in Paradise again (last year I swear he played it 3 times!), then cab it back to the hotel where we will attempt to order pizza and sleep sweet margarita dreams!

Oh, and attempt a cool picture of me and Lindy chest bumping, because that's always a great idea..? Wth?

note to self - keep sunglasses on towards the end of the day..

 Hopefully this year I'll realize my camera is on video mode...

 

The best part is that we'll be seeing a lot of friends that we haven't seen in quite some time! I can't wait to see everyone in their finest Island Chic! :)

Wastin Away Again In Margaritaville

What a weekend! We went out with some friends Friday night and then woke up earlier than I would have liked Saturday morning to drive down to Frisco, TX for the Jimmy Buffett concert!! It was SO much fun! I can't wait to post some pictures! There were so many people there and we got to see some of our friends that we hadn't seen in a while. The concert was awesome but the pre-party tailgate was the best! This was our second year to road trip down to Frisco for the show and I can say it for sure won't be our last! We've got island fever now - can't wait for the honeymoon to relax on a beach with a frozen or fruity cocktail!
