New Blog Title!

You may or may not have noticed that I changed the name of my blog! I thought it needed a bit of a facelift, hopefully better than the Real Housewives failed facelifts... yikes!

I always end up having the most fun when I kick off my heels and have a glass (or two) of champagne! I thought, why not re-name the ole blog after all the good times I've had! The song, "Barefoot Champagne" by Todd Snider is also a favorite of mine. Check it out sometime.

 

I still love "Just My Imagination" and will keep it as a sub-title, because this whole blog is really just my imagination....running away with me! I hope you enjoy reading! :)

The Obsession Continues... Your Weekly Dose of Luke!

Still obsessed with this child, as in want to clone him and have him move in with us. I'd take him everywhere, I could see him being like Buddy the Elf if I left him at home. He'd call every 5 minutes to fill us in on whatever is going on at home, which would for sure be a disaster. Ahhh maybe someday...

Recent Ramblings: Take it with a grain of salt...

While on our way to dinner the other night Dave and I had the following conversation:
Me: I listen to country on the way to work sometimes, this station doesn't play any commercials or have their dj's talking about nothing.
Dave: What? Are you serious about this song?
Me: Yeah, you have to take it with a grain of salt.
Dave: Do you know what that means?
Me: Yeah, do YOU?
Dave: Not really, but I don't think you're using it right.
Me: No, it means to go into it with the mindset like you would when you take a shot of tequila. Like you're ready to have fun!
Dave: ::Laughs:: Your serious aren't you?
Me: Yeah, am I wrong?
Dave: I'm not sure but I'm definitely going with your definition from now on.
Me: Thanks, I think you should! Everyone should!
Dave: So you just have to take this song like you would take a shot of tequila.
Me: Yep! Don't you kinda like the song more now?
Dave: Hmmm I like this conversation more that's for sure.

Couples Shower Crafts and Pixies!

I always call pictures pixies - not sure why but now you know!
We helped host a couples shower for some good friends last weekend. Everyone had a great time and the guests of honor received a lot of awesome gifts!

I also made these cute drink signs for the bar area! Got the free download here and played with it until it said what I needed it to!



Dave and I made Poms for the first time, they didn't turn out nearly as cute as Lindsey's but they were still a nice decor addition.

Dave really did help! I have proof! :)

I had planned on making a few more, but ran out of time.. also why Dave had to help.

But I think they turned out pretty cute, a lot of people were asking about them so I guess that's a good sign!

We played a game where the bride and groom had to answer questions.

Who is more likely to make them late to dinner?

Who's ipod is more embarrassing?

Who will mow the yard?

Who said I love you first?

It was fun! And of course they got lots of good prezzies! (pixies and prezzies, both good words)

Their cute flower girl was collecting the flowers off the PB gifts and giving them to everyone, including Ellie!

So cute!

With Dave's family, don't you love Rex's "cocktail attire" haha! He said he was going to wear his hawaiian shirt but he remembered the Yanks were playing so he had to show his support! What a silly guy!

I also gave the bride her Personal Shower gift since I can't make it.

Poor Ashley hurt her neck in a car wreck and has to wear a brace. I didn't want her to be the only one! Haha! I love how she dressed it up with a flower pin!

It was a great night! Afterwards we headed to the bar to see Hosty play the end of his show.
