Not Me...
It wasn't me who did any of these things...
Went to the grocery store on Friday, bought tons of good food, but settled on a frozen pizza for dinner. (The grocery store wears me out too much to cook afterwards - is that just me?)
Got 10 minutes away from home and realized the football tickets were still on the desk.
Had 3 possible houses to print said tickets - nobody had any printer ink... guess I'm not the only one to blame.
Drink a beer in the Student Library while printing tickets on Saturday, next to dedicated studiers. Who studies when there's a football game going on??
No, I didn't leave the game after the 1st quarter b/c it was too hot.
No, I didn't walk to campus corner alone, knowing I'd find someone to hang out with. Luckily I had a lot of friends with the same idea. (No cell phone service on gameday sucks.)
No way would I play flip cup with miniature shot glasses for hours...
I'd never lay down in the back of a cab so that the driver didn't think we had too many people back there.
Nope, it wasn't me that thought we lost our camera on Saturday night and called 3 places and searched everywhere to find it in my purse, wrapped up in our library printed tickets the next morning. (Sorry for sounding the alarm, I thought I was better at looking for stuff.) Thank the lord b/c otherwise these little gems would have been lost forever:
I'd like to think that I'd neverpass out fall gently asleep on the solid floor right next to my unblown up air mattress... but unfortunately that's how we ended our gameday. Stay away from miniature flip cup people. It may or may not cause bruised hips the next day.
Cheers to gameday! I hope you've learned from my mistakes...

Tucker for Target
So after seeing Posessionistas purchases I had to check out the Tucker for Target line myself. Yay! Something to do on my lunch hour! :)
Luckily, working in Norman, Oklahoma not too many people rushed out to check out the line on the first day! I was able to find everything I liked in my size.
Onto the pictures:
Luckily, working in Norman, Oklahoma not too many people rushed out to check out the line on the first day! I was able to find everything I liked in my size.
Onto the pictures:
Tucker for Target - Signature Blouse in Cream - Purchased!
Warning - the above top runs really big. Expect to size down one or 2 sizes.
Multi-Colored Painted Flowers Dress - Purchased! Can't decide where I'll wear it but it was too cute to leave behind!
Tucker for Target - Herringbone Trench - was super cute on but had no closure except for the tie belt. It was also pretty wrinkled. - Didn't purchase but liked!
Tucker for Target - Boucle Dress - This was cute and definitely comfortable but it just wasn't my style.
Tucker for Target - Back Ruffle Dress - Oops I guess I tried this on backwards. It was very cute, very static clingy and kinda short. Didn't purchase but like it.. Maybe I should have tried the next size up?
Tucker for Target - Black Tunic Dress - Purchased! I definitely saved the best for last here. I have a feeling I will be living in this thing in the next couple weeks. with some boots and a belt or possibly just flats. Love love love it! Go to target and check this line out - there's something for everyone at Great Prices!
SideNote - Can't wait for the GG premiere tonight!

Kickoff Tailgate!
I'm sorry for the lack of posting this week, I've been busier and more tired. Never a good combo. :(
Anyways, on to the fun stuff! Our first tailgate of the season was a Big Hit! The spot we picked out was perfect! An old man tried to ruin our mojo by moving our tent b/c his has been set up there for 25 years, but we didn't let it stop us!
With kickoff not until 6, we had plenty of time to tailgate, maybe too much time... But it was a good starter game. Man the Sooners looked bad. It's a good thing we'd been tailgating all day...
And let's hope this Saturday goes well. We've got a lot of friends coming into town for the game and would really like for it to be a pleasant experience.
I'll be back next week with another tailgate re-cap - hopefully it's a happy one! Go Sooners!

The band marched right by us!
So glad we got the sunshade!
Bestie Lin came by after we came by their house! You gotta support other tailgates! :)
Finally the sun started to go down!
Game's over - back to the tent to meet back up with everyone!
All the girls can manage a semi- normal picture.
The guys.... not so much...

Some Good Summer Grilling!
With the summer coming to an end I decided we needed to get all the use of our grill while we still can!
I was inspired by Erin's recipe, which instantly reminded me of the best meal we had in Belize. We had some delicious home-grown bell peppers from Dave's Dad and had picked up some yummy tomatoes from the Tulsa farmers market. So I went for it!
I'm more of an eye-baller when it comes to recipes, here's my guess as to what all I used:

I'm more of an eye-baller when it comes to recipes, here's my guess as to what all I used:
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
half an onion
2 medium sized filets of tilapia
1 tomato
1 tablespoon EVOO
1 lemon juiced
1 handful of cilantro, chopped
1 pinch of salt and pepper
1 pinch of herbs de provence
- I chopped up all the veggies and tossed them in the olive oil, lemon juice and seasonings
- Thawed the tilapia and chopped it up
- First spray the foil (double layered) with non-stick cooking spray, then fill the foil packets with all the fish and veggies and pour the remaining sauce on top
- Close the foil up so the steam doesn't escape
- Cook for just over 10 minutes on the grill, over medium high heat
Dave was excited!!!
- Serve in a tortilla with guac or salsa and cheese, whichever you prefer!
Yumm! I'm serious you guys, this was delicious!!! I can't wait to make it again!
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day! (I had to work... boo.)

Gameday Ready!
What: Oklahoma Sooner Tailgate Land Run
When: This morning - tent was put up at noon
Where: THE perfect location, just between campus corner (to run and grab a sandwich or shot) and the stadium (for gametime obviously), underneath a tree!
Rules: Tailgaters are allowed to set up their tents at noon the day before the game. However, squatters show up around 10 am and sit in their lawn chairs holding the spots. If that's not Sooner Spirit I don't know what is. We had a blast and can't wait to show off our Land Run success to everyone tomorrow!

That's right - 2 girls CAN put up a tailgate tent on their own!
